How many can you recognize?
Love all your green pics. Thanks for stopping at my blog too!
Thanks!
i used to have ninja turtle toys! i love Michaelangelo. i’m glad they’re making a comeback so my little cousin will get to know them ^^
I was always between Michelangelo and Leonardo as favorites. It just depended on my mood the day I was watching. Yes! I’m so glad they didn’t die out like other shows that were popular when I was growing up (like Rainbow Brite) — TMNT are just so classic!
It hasn’t been long since I became an action hero movies fan. I have been lured in though and I am very happy and proud of myself for recognizing most of the pictures up here, so thank you for this – I can now brag with my boyfriend that I have reached his level of geekiness!
I miss watching You Can’t Do That On Television. I wish they would re-release the show.
It was awesome! The very first thing I thought of after I saw the “green” weekly challenge.
Oh yes – for some of us this is the best of green – I want the poster … And the t-shirt! Thanks for visiting.
Yes, ha– it didn’t even occur to me to take pictures of the outdoors till I looked through other people’s submissions…
Haha – I haven’t been outside in awhile either so don’t feel bad…
That’s a lot of green!
Well, the challenge said “many”, haha! Thanks for taking a peek.
I know there is a husband and all.. but dear rarasaur. [on virutal knees] would you marry me! You’re a woman of exquisite taste!
Of course! Dinos can marry as many people as they want. Probably.
Thanks for the compliment!!
Thanks for becoming a “Follower.” I like your take on the challenge.
Alec Holland rocks!
And his wife, Linda, rocks too!
Haha! Super props for knowing his actual name, I’m impressed!!
I can recognize a few.
They are all so cute!
Some aren’t really anything, just some of my toys– but all are worth knowing, I think.
Thanks for taking a look!
I need to get some of those crackers
But… they’re… peeeeoppple!!!
I loved the cracker box, too.
OMG I want those shoes!! This is great – I’ve never liked green much, but you’ve made me see where I went wrong.
Aren’t they gorgeous? I want to update my shoes, too. I think it’s just modgepodged!

The Giving Tree and Zorak from SpaceGhost!! AHAHA! Some of my fave things!
The Giving Tree is so sad, and Zorak is so mean… but I loooove them both forever and ever.
Thanks for commenting!
Did you Google “green” and pick the coolest images?
I kid. I love this!
In retrospect, I should have! Instead I dragged the hubby to Barnes&Noble so I could snap a picture of that classic Giving Tree cover, and Anne of Green Gables. Then trekked him through a toy store. Then spent an hour brainstorming comic characters and arguing about whether they’re technically green enough or not, haha– like Killer Croc. (Sometimes he’s grey). Ah well, I made things a little more complicated than necessary, but it was fun!
Your complicated way sounds so much more fun. So in retrospect you did it right.
Rarasaur, I just love your blog. Everytime I visit is a revelation. Thanks for keeping me smiling
Brilliant – of course! Much fun and many recognizings…And, those shoes – Want!

I’m a bit of a Yoda fan.
What fun green images! Love Peter Pan and Popeye, Anne of Green Gables, those blue and green shoes, and, of course, Green Eggs and Ham. How cute! Thanks too for visiting my blog…
I didn’t use a close up pic of green eggs, so I’m glad you noticed — good eye!
. Thanks for taking a look!
Well done!
Yay! Does a well-done mean I didn’t miss any classic characters?
. Of course, I didn’t delve into video games, or any classic elfin or alien characters.
There are many villains who wear green, you couldn’t add them all!
Great photos
Oh, I’m not sure if I’d like to eat these crackers because I remember the film quite well
True, but they’d be fun to set on a table during a party.

Oooh, do tell– which one?

no green goblin?
He’s there! As a weird toy incarnation, and looking more elflike than normal… But he’s there.
Very green indeed
Faaaaantastic!
The Soylent Green Crackers are hilarious. Reminds me of the Futurama Soylent Cola joke-
“How is it?”
“It varies from person to person.”
I used to have a behind the scenes making-of book about TOS, and there was a fun story about the green girl in The Menagerie- apparently they kept sending the film out to be developed and they kept getting it back with the green girl not looking so green. FInally after this happened a bunch of times, with lots of “why is this happening?,” they found out that the people in the photo lab were correcting for the green girl because they didn’t know she was *supposed* to be green. Heh.
That’s hilarious! (Both the joke and the story!) I can just imagine the the poor developers trying to figure out what sort of light had turned the girl green and madly correcting for it. Ha!

Brilliant! Who knew there are so many green references in pop culture?
Excellent! I loved all your choices. I’ve seen this theme on another’s blog. You blew it out of the water!! Anne of Green Gables… hee hee hee.
What a tremendous compilation of green… I love that Yoda Green has been included next to Oscar the Grouch and Anne of Green Gables. Well done on a superbly geeky selection!
I like that you took a different approach for the challenge.
Awesome array of greens. How inventive!
Reblogged this on Twice Interesting.
I love this. Brings back memories. Thank you for visiting and liking my post “Dead and Alive”.
These are excellent! The green challenge initially seemed obvious — grass, leaves, money, etc., but a little deeper digging has made me see it differently. Rawr on!
Thank you!
I was a little embarrassed to realize almost everyone else thought of “outside” and I didn’t, haha!
Thanks for taking a peek!
Huh. I didn’t realize I was colorblind. All I see here is green… : P
But it’s cool! : )
