We’re a strange and magical family, yes?
It’s happening!
Guest bloggers will be appearing all over Rarasaur between this weekend and the end of the month. I’m ridiculously excited and I hope you are too– because you’re about to be blown away in a blast of delight and celebration!
These guest bloggers will be writing about a wide variety of topics! They’ll be responding to your comments directly.
There’s no need to go easy on them– question their thoughts, ask about anything you want, rawr at them, follow them, like them, and love them as much as I do.
As my mom would say, “I’m counting on you to make our guests feel like a welcome, and beloved, part of our family.”
Much like you, they are tough, beautiful, and fabulous. We’re going to have a great time together!

How fun! I can’t wait…
I can’t either, haha! It’s a little nerve wracking, I’ve never had a guest blogger before. I hope I’m a good host!
Me, neither. You can be the pioneer for me!
The pressure is on, haha!
Well, after this week of guest posting, I’ll do a little tips & tricks post. My first tip is… ask for the guest posts more than a few days in advance.
I was a major procrastinator this month!!
Looking forward to it…!
But the important question … will there be cake?
Here, there’s always cake!
. It’s sugarfree though…
and pass the parcel? Excellent news, I have been contemplating the last few days doing the same, I mean having guests. I don’t know much about how it works however, they just do a post and copy on to your site? Yours answering questions? So they stick around after the post submitted to reply to comments/questions? Heck such a novice I smack myself in the side of the head
I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it.
I couldn’t find much (supportable) info on how to do it. I will put together a post about what I did once the week is over and I have some data… but from what I’ve seen, it’s nicer when they reply to the comments on their own post. If they’re going to be regulars, you can make them contributors, otherwise I think it’s a little more logical for your reader for you to post and introduce them. I’ve having mine send me their posts, and then I’ll assemble and post it with an intro. Panda (ruleofstupid.wordpress.com) even put his together and just sent me a copy and paste of it from the text version so I didn’t have to really do anything… it was awesome, next time I’ll show people how to do that to make sure their posts look exactly like they want them to.
Hope that helps!
wonderful thanks rawr – hope you have an amazing time!
Super idea! Contemplated the same and will look forward to see how you do this.
Looking forward to your guests!
BTW, I don’t know if you have noticed but I’ve had a guest post on my blog. She’s done it twice. I’ve been encouraging her to set up her own blog because she has told me she wants to write. But she was reluctant to go on her own. So, “to get her feet wet,” I invited her to guest post on my blog. I hope it works and she’ll get the hang of it.
That’s genius! And so gentle. When I wanted one of my friends to start a blog, I just started one and emailed her the admin information, haha! In her case it worked, but maybe next time I’ll try your method!
This will be like seeing a home run ball blasted out of the stadium!! I’m excited and shall read them all!
Oh yay! Thank you!! I’m sure they’ll appreciate it!
Should be fun – in our house being “treated like family” means you don’t get cut any slack… with a dash of humour, of course!
Same here, same here… don’t be easy on them just cuz they’re guests.
I love your line about Nina S. You are sooo correct, her voice does embrace one. I had to come back & find where you wrote it so I could read again Ha! Thank you for many many smiles.
Oops! I don’t know how my comment seeped into this blog. I’m referring to your rainbow blog. I’m on my phone so too hard to go back into your archive to fix the comment gremlin snafu!!!!
haha, it’s alright.
I knew which one you were talking about and it’s all good!! Thank you for understanding what I ramble about, your input is so cheerful and always valued!
Awesome! I love guest bloggers!
Oh good, I’m hoping they get a warm welcome!
I love your particular selection of picture to top this post. One question: do you have a yellow-and-green-striped party hat?
Of course! Party hats are mandatory!
(In best baritone) Don’t suppose you’d have a spare hat for me. Not like anybody would want an old donkey at their party. I’d just ruin all the fun for everybody else. Guess I’ll just go and see if my house is still standing. (Sigh.)
Sounds interesting …
It should be fun!
Winnie the Pooh!!!!!!!!!
I’m excited about the guest bloggers too, but Winnie the Pooh (and Tigger too) trumps everything!
I know! I was trying to post this post, and got caught up reading a list of AA Milne quotes… it took nearly half an hour to tear my attention way to finish it up.
I mean, I love my guest bloggers but I love, love, love Winnie the Pooh!
Ohhhh, fun is going to be had by all!
Yep, it’ll be a party!!
Woohoo!!!
