It was a love to admire,
the kind that resurrects a soul.
He set her heart on fire,
and it burned out of control.
She was ash, on love’s pyre.
He inhaled her whole.

Very beautiful. Nicely written. I love how you can take a few words and make them come alive. Purnimodo is excellent at this as well. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, Jon! Purnimodo is a particular blogging rolemodel of mine, specifically for her ability to convey a great deal in a small amount of words.
So thank you for the lovely compliment!
Beautiful Rara
So concise and sweet, really lovely!
Thanks for sharing
Rohan.
What a fun hyperbolic play on our melodramatic standard of romantic love.
Indeed! I love hyperbole– it packs such a punch! Thank you for reading!

This is brilliantly beautiful!
Oh thank you!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Ohh my goodness, how can a fire-breathing dinosaur have such a sweet and tender voice? I would listen to this over and over except for the loud crackle of the mic being turned off at the end jolts me out of my dreamstate.:)
I’m not sure if it was the pyre imagery or your voice that reminded me of the film “Water.” Regardless, my day is touched by your beauty. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo
Haha! Thanks, Kozo! Yep, it’s my second try with voice recording. I suppose next time I’ll use the real mic to avoid the mic-shut-off-sound and the quietness of the recording.
It’s just easier to shout into my computer speaker, haha!
I love the film “Water”… thank you for reading, for listening, and for your kind words!
So far my favorite. I’ve read ‘em all. Lovely!
Oh my… thank you!!!
This is awesome! (: Fiery love!
Fiery love is the most fun to write about!
Thanks, Draug, for popping by to read!
Rara,
In case you need something to write about, I’ve “hit” you for a blogging “Tag you must answer all my questions” game (http://fiftyfourandahalf.com/2013/02/17/beats-the-alternative/). You may answer or not, play or not. I won’t judge you.
Elyse
How fun, Elyse!
Thanks!
Feel free to do it or not as you choose.
Oh I’ll do it. Blog challenges are the best way in the world to get out of ironing.
I got out of cleaning my whole house that way. It worked really well.
There is no love as pure as that between Phoenixes.
haha, well-said!
Keith Richards, snort that girl back out immediately!!
Wow!Loved the word play-great entry:-)
Wow! Very vivid hyperbole. Nice one.
Why thank you!!
Wow.
Makes me think of Leonard Cohen’s Joan of Arc, that passage of the fire taking Joan into his heart and hanging the ashes of her wedding dress over the wedding guests.
Ah, I love Leonard Cohen!
I’m going to go re-listen to that song right now!
Thanks for reading!
Me too! I adore him.
Wonderfully vivid language. Nicely done.
Thank you!!

Since all the good compliments have been used up…
Banana! That woodloused my hemline with its goose-fat moniker
What a lovely compliment!
Mangoes right back at you, and may acidulous buttons never denigrate your jabberwocky!
That is beautiful and off course hot.:-)
haha, hot, indeed!
Now that’s what I call hyperbole!
Ooooh! I felt all tingly, lustful, salacious, then triumphant and reborn through reading the lines. I love Leonard Cohen too!
Passion served like steamy dim-sum!
hot! passion
